Leo and Yam is a London based contemporary circus company specialising in solo and doubles aerial acts, on rope, silks, trapeze and plastic.
Individual acts vary in length 5-15 mins, and, in style, range from the playful to the erotic. All pieces draw on a very strong technical base, incorporating highly complex tricks that delight,entertain and shock an audience. ‘Leo and Yam’ pride themselves on the exceptionally high production standards they bring to their costume design and stage make up.
The company offers a highly theatrical repertoire, often bringing a uniquely subversive element to their exploration of the age old themes of sexual relationships and love. During the course of an evening your audience will meet the beautiful and the grotesque. Black widows will obliterate their lovers, men and women will cross and blur their gender identities, fight duels in the sky ,play out vampire and puck’ish fairy fantasies and dance a tango.
‘Leo and Yam’ have performed in a variety venues - exclusive restaurants, music festivals, film sets, theatres and night clubs - and in a variety of theatrical contexts - variety and cabaret nights, corporate events, product promotions and dedicated circus shows.
