Leo Hedman always been seeking new ways to channel his creativity. Through art, design, mask, costumes, theatre, dance, music, pottery, fencing and more. But at the age of fourteen he found that contemporary circus encompassed all his aspirations. After three inspiring years at Stockholm’s preparatory circus school, Cirkus Cirkör (2000-03), he furthered his training at the Circus Space in London (2003-06). He started with Silk as his main discipline, but at Circus Space he also mastered Rope. Always seeking new ways of performing in the air he has now added the aerial discipline of Aerial Plastic. Drawing on and combining Silk and Rope techniques, Aerial Plastic creates a new and unique experience for the performer and audiences. Leo also works with Yam Doyev performing original and highly skilled Double Rope and Duo Silk as part of the aerial circus company 'Leo and Yam'. He has performed in major festivals, circus spaces, art centres and corporate events around the world, including London's Barbican, Shunt, Ministry of Sound, Jackson's Lane, and Stratford Circus; Glastonbury Festival (UK); Subtopia Festival and Salong Giraff (Sweden); for NHS, GBC, ITV, Channel 4, Pirates of the Carabean II, Flight Centre and also events in Germany, Holland, Israel, Norway, India, and elsewhere. Leo is also available for bookings as a qualified aerial rigger, he is also a experince makeup artist and costume designer can adapt and make new costumes/looks to fit your event.
